Though the peak of the summer season may be over, we still have lots of gorgeous summer evenings ahead and plenty of time to enjoy that outdoor living space before the cold sets back in.

- Revive Your Plants and Flowers – Remember how green and healthy your annuals looked early in the season? With all the heat and exposure to bugs and other wildlife, your outdoor flowers and plants may look droopy, yellow, and dried out. Take a good look at your plants and flowers to see if they are simply thirsty (many annuals should be watered almost daily in the hot summer months, but their needs vary) or if they have been attacked by bugs. Like any other growing thing, your plants and flowers need a lot of TLC, but the color and beauty they add to the exterior of your home makes them well worth it!
- Buy New Annuals – Okay, so you’ve tried reviving those plants and flowers, and they’re just not responding. No problem! Just head to your local nursery or home improvement store and stock up on some new annuals. The stores still have plenty left and for a much better price this time of year. So, renew your yard and outdoor living space with some fresh color.
- Refresh Your Outdoor Furniture – We’re at the point in the summer when patio furniture and outdoor entertaining accessories (think lighting, fire pits, umbrellas) are all on sale. Take advantage of the lower prices and purchase that patio set you’ve been eyeing! You will enjoy it now and into those warm fall days and crisp evenings.
